However, this designer light not only fascinates by the interesting contrast of elements from the Baroque era and cutting-edge polycarbonate. The Bourgie particularly catches the eye with its base which consists of three elements that are arranged in a star-shaped manner. Furthermore, the prism structure of the lampshade pleases the eye and ensures a good glare control in the case of the clear version. The Kartell Bourgie was designed by Ferruccio Laviani in 2004 and is considered as one of the best-known lights by the Italian light manufacturer.

Bourgie table lamps: different lighting scenarios

The Kartell Bourgie available in different versions is characterised by an individual lighting effect. For instance, the white-gold version impresses with the classic elegance of its external lampshade, while the rays of light reflected by the golden interior surface create charming lighting effects emitted towards the ceiling. The transparent version, on the other hand, looks amazingly delicate and has a slight Asian touch. The black version of this table lamp presents itself as a mysterious luminaire body that distinguishes itself from the opulent golden and silver versions by a graceful seriousness. Operation of Bourgie requires three lamps.

Table lamps providing reading light or serving to massage the soul

In addition to its role as an exceptional eye-catcher, the Kartell Bourgie also serves as an atmospheric mood lighting in the living room as well as the bedroom. This table light provided with an elaborated base ensures interesting lighting accents on side tables, commodes and sideboards. These accents can be “modified” in two ways. Firstly, the lampshade of the Bourgie can be adjusted in height in three steps. Secondly, the light intensity can be individually and continuously controlled by mean of the dimmer located on the supply line in order to adjust the light intensity to suit one’s personal requirements. Thus, this appealing table lamp can also be used as a reading light. As soon as the light is dimmed it also takes over the role of a decorative mood light that soothes the soul.
