Kartell Cindy achieves this by blending design cues from the 1970s with an innovative new material for the 21st century: a thermoplastic technopolymer. By using this material, the Kartell Cindy achieves a flawless and seamless appearance that highlights the base, which is reminiscent of a bowling pin. Available in a wide variety of colours from classic white and black to trendier hues like mint green and orange, the Kartell Cindy fits in seamlessly with a number of colour schemes.

Because the energy efficient bulb is concealed within the Kartell Cindy lamp shade, all of the light is indirect - escaping through the top of the shade as well as reflecting off of the base below. This means that a bright light is emitted upwards to the ceiling, where it then reflects and casts an ambient light throughout the room. The light from the lower half reflects off of the super glossy and reflective base of the Kartell Cindy. If the particular lamp is coloured, then the light takes on this hue and reflects it subtly into the space, creating an excellent basis for mood lighting on end tables and other surfaces throughout the home.
