It depends on the manufacturer. The average service lives of our panels are around 10,000 to 75,000 hours. High-quality LED panels will last for at least 20,000 (usually 30,000) hours. Services lives are indicated on the product pages in our online store.
Important: If the average service life is 20,000 hours (13.7 years when lit for 4 hours per day), this does not mean the light source will no longer emit light after that time. Instead, the average service life is used to indicate the point in time when the luminous flux will have dropped to a certain level. In particular, it refers to the “useful life,” which is usually defined by manufacturers as the lifetime (“L”) value L70. In other words, after the specified period of time (e.g., 20,000 hours), the light will only emit 70% of its original luminous flux. Please keep in mind that individual usage habits do not affect the overall “L” value. If the lifetime is specified as 20,000 hours, then the light will burn for 20,000 hours, regardless of how often and for how long you turn it on. Of course, these 20,000 hours will be used up more quickly if you leave the light on all the time.
If you want to replace your panel’s built-in LED module, you’ll probably have to contact a specialist or the manufacturer. You can replace some LED modules yourself. Others cannot be replaced at all.
