Louis Poulsen celebrates the 50th anniversary of the AJ lights by Arne Jacobsen with a new edition of this classic that is available eight different colours: the AJ Royal W. This elegant wall light with an asymmetric shade impresses by its timeless and purist design. No unnecessary frills distract the viewer from its clear design language. Moreover, it also impresses with its excellent workmanship: the shade, the arm and the wall socket are made of high-quality steel which makes the Louis Poulsen AJ Royal W particularly robust and resistant. This wall light can be admired in five rooms of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Copenhagen since Arne Jacobsen originally designed them for this hotel.

The AJ Royal W stands out for its pivotable, extraordinarily shaped shade; its asymmetric shape allows the light to be skilfully and uniformly directed downwards. Furthermore, the lampshade of this wall light from Louis Poulsen can be pivoted to the sides to optimally illuminate the pages of a book. For a convenient operation while you are seated a switch is fitted on the wall socket. Moreover, no wall outlet is required for the Louis Poulsen AJ Royal W since this light can be simply plugged into an electrical outlet. light11 recommends equipping this light with a halogen lamp or an LED retrofit.
