With this pendant light, the Danish designer Louise Campbell wanted to capture a moment of an evening stroll along a promenade in a southern European city: the shutters are half-closed but they still allow some light through and thereby create a soft play of light. This particular lighting mood is embodied by the LC Shutters: the perforated ornaments on the lampshade of the Louis Poulsen LC Shutters provide for a fascinating emphasis of the contours of this pendant lamp and thereby add some further decorative value, which is even better seen in the multi-coloured version. There, the colourful elements of the lampshade provide for a stunning view once the pendant lamp by Louis Poulsen is switched on.

The LC Shutters pendant light was designed by Louise Campbell in 2012 for Louis Poulsen.

LC Shutters pendant lights: warm zone light for the dining table

The LC Shutters uniformly emits its diffuse light downwards and thereby creates a harmonious and relaxing atmosphere at the dining table. In doing so, the light fixture by Louis Poulsen supplies absolutely glare-free light as the illuminant is protected by a diffuser. The scope of supply of the Louis Poulsen LC Shutters does not include illuminants. Due to the heat-resistant material, illuminants with a higher wattage can be used (E 27 socket, max. 75 W). An eco-halogen lamp can be recommended as illuminant as it provides for warm-white light with a brilliant colour rendering. In this way, the pendant lamp by Louis Poulsen becomes a perfect lighting solution for dining tables. With a cable length of 300 cm, the LC Shutters by Louis Poulsen is suitable for rooms with a maximum height of 4.5 meters. For rooms with lower ceilings, the cable may be rolled up and hidden in the ceiling canopy.
