Design

The Louis Poulsen Panthella F is characterised by its harmonious, organic shape. The main characteristic is its gently shaped, hemispherical lamp shade, which is made of opal-white injection-moulded acryl. The base is manufactured from ABS (a thermoplastic polymer). The subtle design of the Panthella floor lamp was conceived by Verner Panton. The Danish architect and designer was one of the first to combine pop art with furniture. He is considered one of the most important furniture designer and interior architect of the 20th century. For the Panthella, which was released in 1971, Verner Panton has been honoured with the famous iF Design Award

Panthella F – diffused downwards-directed light

The Louis Poulsen Panthella F stands out for its distinguished lighting effect. While the lamp shade reflects most of the light downwards, it simultaneously spreads some soft, diffused ambient light, which suffuses the room with a harmonious base lighting. Please note that the Panthella comes without lamps. light11 recommends using halogen lamps, as they supply pleasant, warm-white light and ensure a brilliant colour rendering, which means that the colours of illuminated objects appear as natural as possible.
