Patera pendant lamps
Louis Poulsen Patera – innovative design, glare-free light
With the Patera, Øivind Slaatto has created the modern interpretation of a chandelier. The poetic pendant lamp creates a cozy atmosphere with its glare-free light.
When designing the lamp, the Danish designer followed a mathematical approach. His goal was to "create a kind of three-dimensional Sudoku". Accordingly, the design of the pendant lamp is complex and sophisticated: the Patera is composed of a fabric-like cell structure.
The special structure of the white diffuser ensures glare-free light from a viewing angle of 45°. The light is reflected by the diamond-shaped cells and the body is gently illuminated. Depending on the perspective and viewing angle, a new light impression is created.
The Patera from Louis Poulsen is the result of first-class craftsmanship and is available in several versions – spherical or oval, with socket or integrated LED technology. The newest member of the family is the Patera ø30 cm, the smallest version of the pendant lamp.
Icons – the most iconic designer lamps from Louis Poulsen
Patera pendant lamp ø30 cm is part of the Icons family. In this series, Louis Poulsen combines iconic design classics and exciting novelties. The Patera itself is not new, but the variant with a diameter of 30 cm is.
In addition to the Patera ø30, the Icons collection by Louis Poulsen includes other novelties with the AJ Garden and a re-edition of the AJ Oxford table lamp.
They are joined by legendary classics such as the PH 5 pendant lamp, the Panthella table lamp, the AJ floor lamp, the PH 3/2 table lamp, the PH 80 floor lamp and the PH Artichoke 600 pendant lamp.
