The Louis Poulsen PH 2/1 table lamp stands out for its sophisticated shade system which consists of three differently sized shades made of hand-blown opal glass. Poul Henningsen, the designer of this table lamp, spent decades developing a perfect positioning of the individual shade to ensure the best glare control possible. The PH series is the impressive result of his success. In addition, the table lamp by the Danish premium manufacturer Louis Poulsen is the product of high-quality workmanship. To this overall impression, the precious chrome-plated surfaces make a significant contribution. This turns the PH 2/1 table lamp into a tasteful eye-catcher that fits into sheer endless interior design concepts.

Designer

The design of the PH 2/1 table lamp was penned by Poul Henningsen who created the Reading lights in 2011 for the manufacturer Louis Poulsen.

Logarithmic spiral

The arrangement of the lampshades following a logarithmic spiral is the famous hallmark of all PH lights.

Downward reflection

The largest of the lampshade elements sits on top and reflects the light downwards.

PH 2/1: glare-free reading light

The individual shade elements of the Louis Poulsen PH 2/1 ensure a downward light emission that is completely free of glare. At the same time, the opal glass shade itself is gently illuminated, which contributes to a pleasant room atmosphere. The PH 2/1 is designed to be equipped with a G9 halogen lamp. The light emitted by halogen lamps is rather warm with a brilliant colour rendering. Thereby, the table lamp by Louis Poulsen unfolds a cosy lighting atmosphere.
