The 30 cm diameter pendant lamp is the new and smallest version of the Patera. The spherical lamp comes from the pen of Øivind Slaatto and provides a cozy ambience with its light. The hanging lamp is composed of numerous diamond-shaped cells that reflect the light. Thanks to the ingenious design, the lighting is glare-free from a viewing angle of 45 degrees. Patera lamps are hand-woven in Vejen, Denmark, making each pendant lamp the result of precise craftsmanship.
One of the most iconic lights is the PH 5. Its sophisticated multiple shade system, which ensures glare-free zone light, was developed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 after decades of research.
The Panthella is another classic and was designed by Verner Panton in 1971. With its organic design, the table lamp advances to a decorative island of light on the sideboard, nightstand or side table. There it provides with its white acrylic shade for well glare-free zone light.
The AJ Floor lamp by Arne Jacobsen joins the icons. It is characterized by its filigree lamp rod, the flat base with recesses and especially the asymmetrical shade. This can be tilted so that you can direct the reading light where you need it.
The PH 3/2 Table lamp and PH 80 Floor lamp by Poul Henningsen have also become cult lamps. Like so many of his designs, the lamps are based on the revolutionary multiple shade system, providing glare-free light that helps you read. Henningsen has created another design classic with the PH Artichoke. With its cleverly arranged leaves, the pendant luminaire provides glare-free light from different angles.
Poul Henningsen (1894 – 1967) was a multi-talented lighting expert who pioneered his field. With a passion for light structures, reflections and shadows, he created world-famous luminaire designs such as the PH 5 for Louis Poulsen. The renowned designer, architect and author worked closely with the Danish manufacturer until his death.
Visionary and perfectionist Arne Jacobsen (1902 – 1971) is considered one of the most important architects and designers of the 20th century. With his numerous works, the Dane left an enormous mark on modern functionalism. While his architectural style is characterized by clear and geometric structures, his product designs live on flowing, organic forms.
Verner Panton (1926 – 1998) achieved international fame with his revolutionary approach to design. The influential architect and designer was one of the first to introduce Pop Art to the furniture world. In general, his works were often ahead of their time, as the Dane liked to experiment with novel materials such as plastic. Panton often designed playful objects reminiscent of sculptures.
