Luceplan Compendium
Glare-free LED lighting and a delicate design
The distinguishing feature of the
Compendium series by
Luceplan is the remarkably delicate aluminium design and the slim silhouette. The
Compendium Sospensione pendant light as well as the
Compendium Terra floor lamp represent elegant light solutions that add some style and charm to the room. Moreover, these luminaires with the roof-like reflector on the cylindrical luminaire body stand for focused, glare-free illumination – a pleasant lighting effect which is already indicated by the name of a
Compendium light: a compendium is a special form of the lens hood that protects the lens of a large-format reflex camera.
A further common feature of
Luceplan Compendium lights is the
exemplary energy efficiency of these LED lights. With a power input of only
34 watts they produce a high light output of
3,200 lumens – this value corresponds to the intensity achieved by a
200 W incandescent lamp, however, a comparison shows that Compendium requires a lot less energy for the same purpose. Consequently, a
Compendium light by
Luceplan is very economical with electricity; the household budget as well as the climate and the environment benefit from this. Moreover, the LED lamps integrated in the luminaires convince with a warm-white light of
2,700 Kelvin that provides for a pleasant light mood within the room.
Compendium: elegant floor lamps and pendant lights
The
Luceplan Compendium Sospensione is a pendant light that is very popular in the dining room. Here, it is often suspended above a
dining table which it suffuses with a pleasant and atmospheric LED light. In doing so, it effectively highlights food and drinks, while the persons sitting at the table can relax and enjoy their meal thanks to the softly diffused light. At the same time, the delicately looking
Compendium pendant light, which is available with a stylish black, aluminium or brass surface finish, makes a clear statement in terms of graceful design. No less elegant is the floor lamp from this series which is preferably used in the
living room: the
Luceplan Compendium Terra. This light fixture also impresses with its graceful design and the perfect shielding of the LED light source so that a glare-free and pleasantly soft lighting effect is created. The special thing about this light is: since it can turn on its own axis, the light can be adjusted as required or desired. Thus, this luminaire can, for instance, flood the wall or directly illuminate the room.
The creator of the
Compendium, the Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken, already created the
Ascent
and the
Counterbalance lights for
Luceplan.
