Design

The seemingly floating Titania from Luceplan looks like a colourfully decorated zeppelin. Its body is made of an aluminium frame and the illuminant is located in the central part. In addition to the optional colour filters, this pendant lamp also offers the possibility of suspending it at a slanting angle. Thus, it offers its user many opportunities for individual design options. The elegant pendant light was designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto in 1989. The unconventional Luceplan Titania was awarded the Concours de la Lampe d'Or SIL / Paris, the Design Plus and the coveted Compasso d'Oro-ADI award.

Titania pendant lights: colourful light thanks to colour filters

The Luceplan Titania impresses by its striking corrugated form and the individually adjustable colour of the light emitted to the sides. The central part of the impressive, elliptical luminaire body houses a lamp. If one (or two) of the supplied colour filters is (are) inserted, the luminaire body shines in either pink, yellow, light blue or violet, as selected, and emits this colourful light to the sides. However, the central part of the Titania from Luceplan is not affected by this and still emits pure white light upwards and downwards. This results in an unparalleled lighting scenario that ensures a picturesque ambience in each environment. For a brilliant colour rendering, light11 recommends using a halogen lamp or an LED retrofit with an excellent colour rendering index.
