Design

With the Cala Indoor, the Spanish manufacturer Marset presents a masterpiece of elegant design. The foldable frame made of varnished, high-quality oak wood of the plain, attractive floor lamp reminds us of a classic easel of an artist’s studio. Furthermore, the design of the Marset Cala Indoor floor lamp stands out due to a charming contrast, which is created by the round, white polyester lampshade sitting on top of a straight-lined crossed frame. This interplay of shapes emphasises the floor lamp’s Mediterranean flair, which fits into many interiors or functions as an attractive contrast.

The Cala Indoor floor lamp was designed by Joan Gaspar in 2012 for Marset.

Cala Indoor: soft ambient light for a cosy atmosphere

However, the Marset Cala Indoor not only convinces with its outer appearance. Since its shade is covered with a methacrylate diffuser at the top as well as at the bottom, this floor lamp emits a softly filtered light upwards and downwards. At the same time, the shade shimmers atmospherically. In this way, the natural-looking floor lamp by Marset radiates a harmonious, cosy ambience. Please note that for operating the Cala Indoor, three E27 lamps are required.

Cala Indoor – floor lamps for relaxing lighting

The lampshade and body of the Marset Cala Indoor form an aesthetic overall picture that especially comes into its own in rooms that already include wooden components. There, the floor lamp by Marset proves to be a perfect stylistic element when it comes to adding a final touch to a pleasant, friendly interior – for instance, in a classically designed living room. For instance, the smallest Cala Indoor with a height of 140 cm cuts a fine figure beside an armchair or a couch. The larger variant with 165 and 180 cm are best suited to provide general lighting. What all of them have in common, is their pleasant, softly diffused light.
