Design

The extremely thin shade is the distinctive feature of the Ginger 32 table light from Marset. Since it is only 4 mm thick, it virtually looks like it was floating. The curved shade of the table lamp is made from a thin layer of wood, paper and special synthetic resins by means of a complex high-pressure method. The form of the lampshade of the Marset Ginger 32 table lamp reminds us of a cymbal from a drum set. Not without reason, because the table lamp from Marset is named after the Ginger Baker, the famous drummer of the rock band Cream. On the inside, the shade is painted in white to ensure a better reflection.

The Ginger 42 Table lamp LED was designed by Joan Gaspar for Marset in 2014.

Ginger 32 table lamps: efficient and glare-free zone light

The Marset Ginger 32 table light supplies bright and glare-free zone light directed downwards. This can be realised because the LED module is hidden in a bowl below the shade. From here, it emits its light directly upwards from where it is then reflected downwards. The soft zone lighting produced is particularly well suited to serve as reading light. However, the Ginger 32 table lamp only requires little energy. Its efficient LEDs only consume 7.8 watts to achieve a luminous flux of 1,070 lumens. For comparison: a conventional 75 W incandescent lamp supplies less light. This means that the table lamp from Marset reduces the impact on the environment and is also good for the household budget. Moreover, the Ginger is provided with a dimmer on the supply line which can be used to continuously adjust the light output to suit one’s personal requirements.
