Design

A tempting design and an impressive play of light characterise the Marset Maranga pendant light. When preparing this elegant light, the designer Christophe Mathieu was inspired by an imaginary piece of fruit. Juicy, delicious, tempting – these were the characteristics Mathieu had in mind while working on the design. At the same time, the sophisticated design is a reinterpretation of the sober rationality of the Scandinavian style. Thanks to its extravagant appearance, the Maranga pendant light by Marset turns out to be a real gem that adds a central eye-catcher to the room. The pendant light is mainly owes its appeal to its lampshade which consists of 32 polycarbonate strips.

Maranga: downwards-directed zone light and fascinating light and shadow effects to the sides

The Marset Maranga features an extraordinary lighting effect. The pendant light emits zone light directly downwards through a satin-finished diffuser. This ensures that the emitted light is evenly distributed and harmoniously illuminates the area below the Maranga. However, the Marset pendant lamp demonstrates all its skill through the fascinating light and shadow effects produced by its ellipsoidal shade. The gaps in the lampshade allow some light to escape to the sides, which creates an inimitable atmosphere.
