Mawa FBL-21 surface-mounted LED spotlight – innovative, streamlined spotlight design from Germany

The FBL-21 surface-mounted LED spotlight by the Brandenburg-based light manufacturer Mawa is milled from one piece of aluminium and is subsequently folded to form a cuboid using a patented process. For this reason, there are no visible screws on the outer sides of the housing. The particularly flat shape of the spotlight created during the procedure allows a separate heat sink to be omitted. Instead, the LED modules are cooled by means of the extended surface of the luminaire body. At the same time, the special form of the luminaire body ensures a rotation-symmetric emission of light. This way, the award-winning Mawa FBL-21 surface-mounted LED spotlight produces a focused zone lighting that can be adjusted with the aid of a hinge which connects the corpus and the base. Furthermore, this version of the surface-mounted spotlight can be controlled by means of an external phase dimmer.
 

FBL-21 lights: zone lighting for the entire interior furniture

Thanks to the rotation-symmetric emission of light, the Mawa FBL-21 surface-mounted LED spotlight supplies an equally brilliant light in all directions with a colour rendering value of R_a=95 that is particularly high for LED lamps. The difference between this light and the authentic light of a halogen lamp is hardly visible to the naked eye. Thus, this surface-mounted spotlight serves as a powerful zone light in the living room, where the excellent colour rendering value allows to put shelves, cupboards and particularly pictures as well as paintings in the limelight. In the dining room, this ceiling lamp highlights commodes and sideboards and thereby creates a pleasant atmosphere with a colour temperature of 3,000 Kelvin. The Mawa FBL-21 surface-mounted LED spotlight is equipped with particularly efficient LED lamps that only consume a power of 17 watts. These lamps produce a luminous flux of 1,400 lumens which means that this spotlight outperforms a conventional 100 W incandescent lamp. This way, the surface-mounted spotlight by Mawa demonstrates its high level of energy efficiency and makes a contribution to protecting the environment. Additionally, this ceiling lamp saves energy costs.
