Design

The Mawa Glaskugelleuchte LED is a tribute to the classic Bauhaus design. The pendant light consists of just four components: a diffuser made of hand-blown glass, an LED module, a suspension and a cylindrical ceiling mount. Also with regards to manufacturing quality, the pendant by the Brandenburg-based light manufacturer Mawa keeps up with the standards of the Bauhaus era: each component is manufactured from high-quality materials. The diffuser, for instance, is made of clear or frosted crystal glass. Thanks to its plain design, the Glaskugelleuchte LED blends with nearly any interior design concept and functions as a timeless eye-catcher.

Designer

The Glaskugelleuchte LED Pendant lights was designed by Mawa in-house design and Jan Dinnebier for Mawa.

Hand-blown glass

The sphere-shaped diffuser is made of hand-blown glass.

Even light spread

The light emitted by the LEDs inside the top of the glass shade spreads evenly into the room.

Glaskugelleuchte LED: ambient light or zone light

Depending on the version, the Mawa Glaskugelleuchte LED has a different lighting effect. The frosted glass diffuser evenly distributes the light emitted and thereby creates a pleasant ambient lighting. The clear glass version on the other hand, supplies bright zone light, which is particularly suited to illuminate a dining table. With its warm-white light, the Glaskugelleuchte LED creates an inviting island of light on the table surface. What is more, the pendant lamp by Mawa impresses with a highly efficient LED module.
