Design

The Warnemünde wall and ceiling light by the Brandenburg-based light manufacturer Mawa convinces by its streamlined as well as unobtrusive design. For this, the cylindrical light source is especially recommended for those who appreciate a subtle appearance. The Mawa Warnemünde, available in matt white or glossy chrome, may be mounted to a wall or a ceiling. Furthermore, a satin-finished diffuser prevents any unpleasant glare. The special feature: thanks to a patented O-ring fastener, the housing does not show any visible screws, which gives it a particularly noble touch.

The Mawa Warnemünde is a joint work of the company founder Martin Wallroth and the designer Marco Schölzel. The two have been intensively working together for quite some time and have already designed numerous modern lights for the German light manufacturer.

Warnemünde wall-/ceiling light LED – soft downwards-directed light

The Mawa Warnemünde emits its light directly downwards. The satin-finished diffuser gives the light emitted a soft touch and prevents unpleasant glaring. Furthermore, a high luminous efficacy is provided by the integrated LED lamps. These only require 6 watts to generate a luminous flux of 600 lumens, which is nearly as much as that of a conventional 60 watts incandescent lamp. Thus, this wall light is not only good for the environment but also for the household budget. Since it is designed according to protection type IP54, this ceiling light is protected against the ingress of dust in harmful quantities as well as against water splashing on all sides. Thus, the ceiling light can be used in wet areas.
