Wittenberg – minimalist design, maximum lighting effect
The Wittenberg collection, now in its 4th generation, is mawa's flagship and stands for excellent quality ‘made in Germany’. Originally developed in collaboration with Jan Dinnebier for the Luther House in Wittenberg, this series combines the latest LED technology with a purist design approach. The ceiling, wall and floor luminaires are characterised by harmonious proportions, unembellished forms and a durable powder coating. The rotatable and swivelling luminaire heads allow for precise light alignment, ideal for direct zone or indirect reflective room light.
The luminaires in the Wittenberg 4.0 series offer high luminous efficacy and colour rendering (CRI > 95) for a natural lighting atmosphere. With a patented bayonet lock, the luminaire heads can be removed without tools, and all elements – from the LED module to the lens – can be easily replaced, making the luminaires particularly durable and sustainable. The beam angle, i.e. the angle at which the light emerges, can be individually adjusted by simply changing the lens – ideal for either concentrating the light in a single point or spreading it wide. The luminaires are conveniently phase-dimmable or can be controlled via Casambi technology using a smartphone or tablet.

The surface-mounted spotlights in the Wittenberg series are ideal if you are looking for a flexible and visible lighting solution for your home that is mounted directly on the ceiling, rather than in it like recessed spotlights. They are easy to install and come in a wide range of shapes – round, square or oval – that blend harmoniously into a variety of interior styles.

Wittenberg recessed spotlights – less is more
The Mawa Wittenberg recessed spotlights are the right choice if you prefer an unobtrusive lighting solution that is discreetly integrated into the ceiling and still provides effective illumination. There are two variants of the recessed spotlight: flush-mounted and semi-recess The flush-mounted spotlights are seamlessly integrated into the ceiling surface and are therefore particularly unobtrusive – ideal when the lighting should be almost invisible. The semi-recessed spotlights protrude slightly from the ceiling, which allows for more flexible light direction and ensures shadow-free illumination. Both variants offer the possibility of precise light control, without shadowing or light loss, thanks to their flexible lamp heads.
The recessed downlights are an unobtrusive lighting solution that can be seamlessly integrated into living rooms, corridors or kitchens. They can be installed in suspended ceilings without additional housings, which simplifies installation. External control gear is occasionally required.
