Design

The Nemo In the Wind Sospensione Vertical is one absolutely unconventional pendant light. The creator, Arihiro Miyake, explained that he had wanted to create a luminaire which would break conventional habits. Modern LED technology made the unusual design of the In the Wind Sospensione Vertical possible, as it allows designers to play with whole new, creative shapes. Thereby, the pendant light by Nemo impresses with its extraordinary appearance: three s-shaped aluminium bars are vertically aligned around an invisible centre. On the inside of the Nemo luminaire, there are efficient LED modules, which are covered by satin-finished diffusers to provide optimal glare-control.

In the Wind Sospensione Vertical: wide-ranging ambient light

The Nemo In the Wind Sospensione Vertical shines in all directions. Thereby, a harmonious ambient lighting unfolds, which is underlined by the extraordinary design of the pendant light. Furthermore, the In the Wind Sospensione Vertical is highly efficient, as it consumes only 60 watts to generate a luminous flux of 5,700 lumens. Thereby, the pendant light by Nemo nearly reaches an efficiency level of 100 lumens per watt. For comparison: to generate a similar luminous flux, a 300 watts incandescent lamp is needed. In this way, the In the Wind Sospensione Vertical proves to be environmentally friendly and cost-saving.
