The Nemo Lampe de Marseille presents itself as a re-edition of the famous light by Le Corbusier. The French architect, artist and designer created this wall light in the 1950s for one of his most famous projects, the Unité d’Habitation de Marseille. Clear forms, rational design – the Lampe de Marseille is based on the industrial light design of its time. The new edition of this classic is manufactured from robust metal by the Italian light manufacturer Nemo.

Designer

The design of the Lampe de Marseille was penned by Le Corbusier who created the reading light in 2010 for the manufacturer Nemo.

Lampe de Marseille: uplight in the disguise of a reading light

The lighting effect of the Nemo Lampe De Marseille is characterised by its two-sided light emission. On the broad side, diffuse light is emitted that is then distributed within the room. On the narrow side, a rather focused beam of light is emitted upwards to the ceiling for an indirect illumination. As required, the lampshade can be rotated in order to adjust the direction of the light supplied by this wall light by Nemo. The Lampe De Marseille is fitted with two E27 sockets, which you can equip with either classic halogen lamps or modern LED retrofit lamps with a low energy consumption.

Lampe de Marseille – wall lamps for reading in a relaxing ambience

Thanks to its versatile lighting effect, the Lampe De Marseille can be used almost everywhere. For instance, next to a couch or an armchair in the living room, the wall light functions as a reading light while providing for a diffuse base lighting.
