Design

The Santa & Cole Cestita, a hand-made classic from 1962, stands out for its special appearance that is reminiscent of classic lanterns. To achieve this look, an oblong diffuser is embedded into a four-legged frame made of genuine pine wood, which lends the table lamp a natural aura. A practical handle emphasises the charming lantern look. The embedded diffuser comes in two variants: polyethylene, which is a break-proof plastic that is characterised by a high light transmittance, and opal glass. The design of the Cestita, which is the small sister of the Cesta by Santa & Cole, was penned by the Spanish designer Miguel Milá.

Cestita – Soft light in all directions

The Santa & Cole Cestita emits its light in all directions. In doing so, the table lamp provides for a pleasant, soft lighting, as both diffuser variants distribute the light harmoniously. In this way, the Cestita by Santa & Cole provides the surrounding area with cosy lighting. To do so, the table lamp requires an illuminant with an E27 base and maximum power consumption of 40 watts. light11 recommends equipping the Cestita with a halogen lamp, as it offers warm white light and brilliant colour rendering.

The Santa & Cole Cestita represents the perfect mood light. As such, it comes to use in many different areas, such as the living room. There, it may be placed on a sideboard or a side table, which it turns into a cosy oasis of light.
