Design

The Serien Lighting Annex S Ceiling Light LED discreetly blends with the room ceiling. This is due to its filigree conical shade made of hand-blown glass, which lends the ceiling lamp a timeless elegance. The Annex S Ceiling Light LED is characterised by conical reflector inserts that produce different lighting effects. Moreover, these also alter the visual appearance of the ceiling lamp by the German manufacturer Serien Lighting. The model with a crystal glass insert exudes a majestic flair, while the version with an aluminium reflector has a rather rough, masculine appearance. In view of this changeability, it is not surprising that the Annex Ceiling S LED won Focus Silver at the Focus Open 2011.

The Serien Lighting Annex S Ceiling Light LED mainly functions as a central source of room light, which is emits evenly in all directions. However, the lighting effect of the ceiling luminaire can be influenced by its reflector inserts. With the conical reflector made of frosted glass, for example, the light is directed downwards more directly, while the use of polished aluminium gives the light a dramatic character. It focuses the light directly downwards onto the floor, whereby the ceiling is only gently illuminated. Equipped with the faceted crystal glass insert, the Annex S Ceiling Light LED emits room light with stunning light refractions.

The ceiling lamp by Serien Lighting also scores points in terms of energy efficiency. At an energy consumption of only 9 watts, the ceiling lamp produces 570 lumens, which is almost as bright as a 60 W incandescent lamp. Thus, the Annex Ceiling S LED is a particularly economical lighting solution.
