Design

Inspired by the shape of two palm leaves opening upwards, the Slamp Las Palmas floor lamp shines through its remarkably unusual design. This floor lamp truly is a special light object. The Las Palmas floor lamp is based on an innovative material: it is made from Opalflex®, a material developed and patented by the Italian light manufacturer based in Rome. This material, which is shaped like palm leaves, consists of a mixture of technopolymers and glass crystals. The Slamp Las Palmas floor lamp is the work of designer Jonas Clementoni. It has a base made from stainless steel, the palm leaves are supported by inconspicuous metal strips.

Las Palmas floor lamp: soft light plus stunning reflections

The Slamp Las Palmas floor lamp emits fascinating room and mood light. It owes this to its special composition, as Opalflex® refracts the emerging light of this designer lamp multiple times in all directions – thus unique plays of light are created. Thus, the Las Palmas not only provides its surroundings with a harmonious, very soft background lighting, but also offers a nuanced presentation of light that is second to none. For the operation of the Slamp Las Palmas you need several light sources, light11 recommends halogen lamps. Please make sure that they have an E14 or E27 base (depending on the selected version).

Las Palmas floor lamps for the living room

The two larger versions of the Slamp Las Palmas provide soft, cosy room lighting. In addition, the manifold light reflections created by the Opalflex® material create an almost beguiling atmosphere. The smallest version functions as mood light, for example close to the television, in order to soften strong light-dark contrasts a little and thus protect the eyes from overtiring too quickly. By the way: Opalflex® is known for its breaking strength and is therefore also ideal for families with small children or pets.
