In 2015, Maxwell Wood, Joshua Ward and William Symington founded Tala, a company that is all about sustainable lighting and outstanding light. One focus is on high-quality LED lighting fixtures, which Tala develops and produces in-house rather than buying in. In doing so, Tala does not compromise on light quality in any way. Tala illuminants are dimmable for different lighting moods and feature brilliant color rendering.
In addition to illuminants, Tala also produces and sells luminaires in which the illuminants are mostly exposed and thus become an essential design element.
From the outset, Tala has set itself ambitious goals in terms of sustainability and climate protection. The London-based company uses the power of design to show what low-carbon living can look like under excellent lighting conditions.
Tala focuses on durable, energy-efficient products that are easily repairable. The manufacturer also avoids plastic and uses recyclable materials such as aluminum and natural hardwood. To date, Tala has also funded the planting of more than 130,000 trees worldwide, making another important contribution to climate protection.

With The Muse, Tala shows what comes out when nostalgic lantern design meets innovative lighting technology. The luminaire is the result of a collaboration between Tala and Farrow & Ball, a well-known British manufacturer of paints and wallpapers. The product's color palette is correspondingly versatile.
The splash-proof Tala lamp is available with a replaceable E27 bulb and can be used both indoors and outdoors. There it gives diffuse light, which you can dim for a cozy ambience. The family battery lamp you place on the garden or coffee table or take with you to the evening picnic by the lake. With The Muse wall lamp, in turn, you provide a cozy lighting on the facade of the house, the garden shed or even in the apartment.

One focus of Tala is on high-quality LED light sources, which the British manufacturer develops and produces itself. Whether in Edison or vintage look, with E27 or G9 socket: Tala illuminants can be found in various designs. All products convince with a very good or brilliant color rendering and can be dimmed. In some lamps, the innovative dim-to-warm technology ensures that the light shines darker and warmer when dimmed, just as you know it from the incandescent lamp.

Tala offers the right light source for every need. For example, Light Engine with E27 or E14 base is well suited for various table and floor lamps. Voronoi, on the other hand, is ideal for luminaires without a shade. Here, the hand-blown LED bulb with its deliberately deformed design comes into its own and gives your lighting an individual touch. Sphere presents itself in a classic round shape and is therefore ideal for retrofitting your lighting. The S14-d light source Kilter from Tala, on the other hand, with its diffuse light and rectilinear shape, is ideal for mirror lighting.

Tala as a certified B-Corp company
Wood, Ward and Symington founded Tala with the determination that good design can help mitigate climate change. The company has an ambitious goal to become the world's leading carbon-free lighting brand.
With its holistic approach that combines sustainability, design and technology, Tala is well on its way to achieving this goal and was awarded the Benefit Corporation certificate for this in March 2023. This is awarded by the non-profit organization B Lab to companies that assume social responsibility and act transparently and sustainably. This officially makes Tala part of the community of over 6,200 B Corporations. The certified companies undertake to comply with the B Corp guidelines and thus make a lasting difference to the global economy.
To join the select group of B Corporations, companies undergo a comprehensive, rigorous assessment process that includes all corporate activities. The categories are: Corporate Governance, Employee Rights, and Environmental, Social and Customer Impact.
All B-Corp companies must go through the certification process every three years. This ensures that the standards are continuously met.
