DesignIn 1928, Wilhelm Wagenfeld designed the Tecnolumen Wagenfeld WG 27 table lamp as a task for his teacher László Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus art school in Weimar. Contrary to its iconic design of 1923/24, this table lamp is characterised by a lamp shade made of carton. The shade consists of two pieces, one of which is cone-shaped and one is cylindrical. On top is a cap, which, like the lamp socket and the shaft, is made of nickel-plated metal. The shaft itself is surrounded with glass and stands on a glass base. Just like the other Wagenfeld lights, this table lamp is equipped with the characteristic pull switch. Each Wagenfeld WG 27 by the German manufacturer Tecnolumen comes with a certificate of authenticity which guarantees that it is an authorised re-edition.
