Tom Rossau was founded in 2005 in Odsherred, Denmark. The Danish municipality is known for its winding landscape and the enchanting light of the north-west coast. Both are firmly anchored in Tom Rossau's DNA and are reflected in the brand's designs.
The Danish manufacturer specialises in lamps made from high-quality wood veneers, whose designs are as sculptural as they are organic. The products are handcrafted in Copenhagen, where most of the wood used also comes from. To emphasise the naturalness of the material, Tom Rossau likes to use natural colours for his lights, complemented by strong and bright shades.
The Scandinavian brand attaches great importance to sustainable designs and primarily offers cosy dining table and atmospheric room lighting, often with an object character. TR7 - the Tom Rossau luminaire from the very beginning
TR7 was Tom Rossau's first luminaire. It was created when the designer turned and bent long strips of birch veneer until they formed an S shape. This resulted in the now iconic "hourglass luminaire".
The equally organic and sculptural body of the luminaire optimally shields the light source inside and thus ensures that the light is well glare-free. This shines evenly through the birch wood lamp body and creates a cosy ambience.

TR5 - wall and pendant lights with a poetic touch and cosy light
With TR5, Tom Rossau presents a decorative luminaire made from sustainable materials. Its body is made up of bent birch wood strips, giving the lamp a graceful, organic design. While the wall light provides cosy ambient lighting, the TR5 pendant light illuminates your dining table.
The infinitely dimmable lights with an E27 socket are available in many different colours, from natural nuances to strong, bright shades.

Tom Rossau - the man behind the designs
Tom Rossau is a self-taught designer who discovered his love of working with wood at an early age. He likes to express himself artistically with this sustainable material, playing with complexity but always resulting in simplicity.
His first lamp was created by chance in his workshop. Rossau wanted to assemble a series of slats in a cylinder to investigate how the shape would change when compressed. He quickly discovered that the more pressure he applied, the more expressive the shape became. This fascination led him to found his company, which continues to specialise in lamella designs.

Tom Rossau produces his lights in Copenhagen. This is where the Danish manufacturer's workshop is located, where the lamps are made by hand by a qualified production team. Sustainable materials such as wood are used, most of which is sourced locally.
Each Tom Rossau lamp is unique. A card enclosed with the product bears witness to this. It contains the signature of the team member who made the lamp.
