Design

The Top Light Octopus Outdoor is a floor lamp of a special kind. Its shaft can be bend as desired and therefore the position can be adjusted as required. Thus, you get the impression that the floor lamp from the German light manufacturer Top Light is a tentacle of an octopus. Its weather-resistant polycarbonate shade available in white, yellow, orange, red or green additionally provides for a colourful accent. This way, the Octopus Outdoor – particularly when several pieces are arranged to form a group – serves as a breathtaking eye-catcher in the garden.

The Octopus Outdoor was designed by Rolf Ziel for Top Light in 2009.

Octopus Outdoor floor lamps: easy installation thanks to the earth spike

A Top Light Octopus Outdoor supplies softly diffused light in all directions. The lighting effect can be individually influenced by means of the flexible arms. Thanks to the earth spike integrated in the light’s shaft, the "installation" of the floor lamp from Top Light is as easy as pie. Simply put the earth spike into the ground or a prepared hole in the ground. Moreover, the Octopus Outdoor is designed in accordance with protection type IP44. This means that this floor lamp is not only protected from splashing water but also against the ingress of fine foreign bodies such as sand. light11 recommends equipping the Octopus with energy-efficient LED retrofit lamps since they not only allow you to save energy costs but also to reduce waste due to a long service life.

Floor lamps as a fascinating eye-catcher for the garden

If you centrally integrate the Top Light Octopus Outdoor garden light into a green area this floor lamp almost looks like an oversized flower itself due to the floral appearance. Here, it not only illuminates its surrounding area but also appealingly shimmers in the colour you have selected. Arranged in a group, this fascinating floor lamp from Top Light, however, reminds us of the eponymous octopus whose tentacles emerge from the ground.
