Verpan Fun
Lights with maritime decoration for a fascinating illumination
Pearl oysters produce pearls. A
Verpan Fun, designed in 1964 by the Danish designer and icon of Scandinavian design Verner Panton, that consists of
genuine nacre elements produces fascinating light and furthermore serves as a bravura piece of light design.
Taking a look at the
Fun, reissued by the Danish company
Verpan, you do not instantly known whether this is a design object or a lighting solution. The pendant lights, wall lights, table lamps and floor lamps catch attraction even before they are switched on. Densely arranged genuine nacre elements give a
Verpan Fun a natural as well as extravagant look. The elements are connected by means of small metal rings to form differently long nacre chains that exude a
visual grandeur, for which the Scandinavian design is world-famous. At the same time, the
Fun lights convey unobtrusive dynamics that are unfolded by a light breeze. Then these elements of maritime life slightly start swinging and play a lovely tune.
When a
Verpan Fun is switched on, it additionally shows a lighting competence that is second to none. The light beams emitted by the lamp are constantly reflected many times and together create a
simply breathtaking lighting experience. A lighting experience that can be used as a completely glare-free, atmospheric ambient or mood lighting. On top of this, the virtually enticing aura of a
Fun is complemented by the soft shimmering of its translucent shell elements. If you fit these lights with halogen lamps, the lighting quality is supplemented by a brilliant colour rendering of
Ra = 100.
Fun by Verpan: representative luminaires as a unique feature
You can use the
Verpan Fun lights in all rooms, in which an outstanding effect in terms of visual appearance as well as light technology is desired. A virtually majestically looking pendant light such as the
Fun 0DM is
perfectly suited for a representative room like, for instance, the living room. Here, these pendant lights by Verner Panton turn out to be a visual highlight that cannot be found elsewhere. Furthermore, these classics supply the surrounding area with soft, pleasant light and thus create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. A
Verpan Fun 3DM adds a touch of glamour to your house. It is a pendant light that consists of vertically arranged nacre elements that remind us of oversized crystals and that are combined to form a simply magic lighting and design experience. Just like the other Fun pendant lights, this splendid pendant lamp is also well suited for being
installed in a well-attended environment such as a reception hall, a lobby, a hall or a gallery.
Smaller versions of the
Verpan Fun lights also impressively unfold their appeal. A wall light such as the
Fun 1WM does not have a less impressive effect on the viewer. It reflects most of its light against the wall. Thus, the wall is decoratively illuminated and then transfer this light as pleasant mood light into the room. The
Verpan 1TM also serves as atmospheric mood light and optical highlight within the room. It is preferably used on sideboards or commodes where it creates friendly oases of light. However, these table lights also cut a great figure on a large coffee table, where these harmonious light sources create an ambience that invites you to stay and relax.
Everyone who is looking for a more impressive illumination should take a closer look at a
Verpan Fun light provided with small aluminium plates. A representative of these models is, for instance, the
1WA wall light. As a sign of authenticity, each of the light fixtures mentioned here is provided with a signature of their creator Verner Panton.
