Design

The Verpan Fun 1DM pendant light - a real classic by Verner Panton from 1964 – is one of the most impressive luminaires sold at our shop. The designer light owes its special appearance to the choice of materials: round semi-transparent discs made of genuine mother-of-pearl that are attached to each other in chains of varying length by means of small metal rings. The chains are held by three concentric metal hoops that create a “cascade-look”. A fabric-covered supply line rounds this precious design off.

The maker of the Fun 1DM pendant light, the Danish architect and designer Verner Panton, was one of the first to combine Pop-Art with furniture and is said to be one of the most renowned furniture designers and interior architects of the past century. Each Verpan Fun 1DM pendant light is an original and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Fun 1DM pendant light – fascinating light reflections

The exceptional appearance of the Verpan Fun 1DM pendant light is accompanied by a special lighting effect. The illuminant in the centre shines at the seashell discs which refract and reflect the light in all directions. This creates a soft, harmonious ambient light, which is completely glare-free. Furthermore, the individual discs are moveable, which means that a gentle breath of air is enough to make them dance. This not only creates exciting lighting effects but soft, melodic sounds, as well. Please note that the scope of delivery of the Verpan Fun 1DM pendant light does not include lamps. For warm-white light with brilliant colour rendering, light11 recommends equipping the E27 socket with a halogen lamp.
