What is the right height for wall lights?
The ideal height at which to mount your wall light depends on the application and your personal preferences. The most important thing is that the light does not dazzle. We therefore recommend positioning up or/and down lights on the wall just above eye level. This virtually eliminates glare. Depending on the size, this usually results in a height of approx. 160 to 180 cm. If you use the wall lamp as a reading light, for example next to the bed or couch, you should position it lower down. The same applies to LED spotlights on the wall, which you can use for orientation in the hallway or stairwell, for example.
How do I install wall lights?
The correct way to install and connect your wall light depends on the product in question. Detailed instructions can be found in the installation instructions. In general, the following principle applies: first switch off the power and use a voltmeter to check whether there is still current flowing through the cables. If this is not the case, you can go ahead: Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using screws and wall plugs. Then connect the connection cable to the lustre terminal. You don't need to do this for models with a plug, just make sure that there is a socket nearby. Finally, mount the wall light on the bracket and insert the light source if necessary.
